Causes of Auto Immune Disorders

Our body is composed of various kinds of cells and each function differently. Like any other living creature, we humans also have natural way of defending our body from any threat that could harm us. Our immune system have these fighting soldiers called Leukocytes or also known as white blood cells. These cells aids in protecting our body from any foreign antigens that threats our body’s wellness. In patients with autoimmune disorder the antibodies that the body produces can’t recognize the difference between the healthy tissues and the antigen. Unfortunately, the result is that the body is attacking itself. And the cause is mostly unknown but there are theories that bacteria, viruses and other drugs may trigger some diseases and aggravated if the person has the history of autoimmune diseases.

Symptoms of an autoimmune disease depends on the kind of autoimmune disorder a person has. Below are just some of the most common and significant signs:

  • Body malaise, joint pains or tremors
  • Weight loss, difficulty in sleeping, tachycardia, temperature intolerance
  • Rashes and hives, photophobia, a butterfly-shaped rash on the face
  • Unfocused
  • FAtigue, weight gain
  • Alopecia(hair loss) or white patches on your skin
  • Abdominal pain, blood or mucus in your stool, diarrhea or mouth ulcers
  • Dry eyes, mouth or skin
  • Numbness of hands or feet
  • Multiple miscarriages or blood clots
