    Being active daily contributes to our health big time. Having regular exercise reduces ones weigh over time and even a 15-minute intense weight training daily can lower your blood sugar level.

  1. HAVE A BALANCE DIET
    This is the most ignored yet it is the most effective way of maintaining our blood sugar level. People who have abnormal blood glucose level must watch out their food intake. They must control foods that are rich in carbohydrates and increase their consumption of fiber.
  1. HYDRATE
    One of the symptoms of diabetes is increase in urination and thirst. Not enough fluids in the body dehydrate you and canraise your blood sugar level. In order to flush out excess glucose, you have to pass it out through urination and thus you have to hydrate more often. Increasing your daily water intake contribute to the lowering of blood sugar.
  1. AVOID STRESS
    Stress people sometimes are bad in coping and most of the time food is their escape from it. And this highly contributes to the raising of blood sugar level. Studies also shows that stress hormones affect the blood sugar level directly.
  1. CHECK BLOOD LEVEL REGULARLY
    Monitoring your blood sugar level helps you evaluate your own program. It assesses the effectiveness of your management. It also prevents you from having hypoglycemia- having low blood sugar level.

    Constant consultation to your doctor is very important. It is important to know what type of Diabetes you have and what proper medication and management best fits you.
  1. GET ENOUGH REST
    Study shows that sleep deprivation highly affects our insulin level and resistance. Insulin is the one controlling the in and out of glucose in our cells. Therefore having enough sleep is one of the factors that contribute in maintaining your blood glucose level.
